Job Description

The Day Activity Centre (DAC) Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Centre, supporting staff development, managing budgets, and delivering high-quality programs for clients. This position requires a combination of leadership, administrative expertise, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for Centre's clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible in managing the day-to-day operations in the DAC.
  • Responsible for the care and welfare of the Clients in the DAC.
  • To communicate effectively with the Clients and their Caregivers.
  • To supervise a team of care staff in the delivery of safe care to Clients in the DAC.
  • To collaborate with the Allied Health Professionals, Training Officers in the delivery of activity programs, therapy care and behavioral support to Clients in the DAC.
  • To provide accurate reports of incidents to relevant authorities.
  • To ensure all documents are updated promptly and accurately.
  • To oversee the overall financial budget of the DAC.
  • In charge of inventory and proper disposal of DAC assets.
  • In charge of managing the transport service to Clients.
  • To assist in the mandatory audits of the DAC.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven people management and interpersonal and able to interact with clients and caregivers effectively.
  • Budgeting, administrative, and operational planning experience.
  • Ability to develop and implement programs that enhance client engagement and well-being.
  • 3 to 5 years relevant experience in leadership role.
  • Experience in the social service/healthcare/community care sector preferred.
  • Degree in Business, Commence, Healthcare or related field.
