Database Operations Engineer |Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Ops DBA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in administering and maintaining enterprise-grade databases across multiple platforms, with focus on Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and AWS RDS. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure database reliability, performance, and security while supporting mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Oracle, MSSQL, and MySQL platforms, including Oracle Encryption (TDE) and Hardware Security Module (HSM).
• Oversee database health, performance, and availability; proactively resolve issues before they impact services.
• Perform backups, restoration testing, and disaster recovery planning.
• Apply patches, upgrades, and security fixes in line with change management processes.
• Control user access, roles, and permissions in compliance with security policies.
• Tune queries, indexes, and configurations to maximize performance.
• Collaborate with application teams on schema changes, deployments, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain comprehensive records of configurations and procedures.
• Resolve database incidents within defined SLA timeframes.

Job requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in database administration.
• Proven expertise in:
  • Oracle RAC & RMAN backup/recovery
  • Microsoft SQL Server administration
  • AWS RDS management

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of database security and compliance.
