We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Database Engineer to design, implement, and maintain reliable database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high performance, security, and availability of data while supporting business operations and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain database systems (SQL/NoSQL)
- Optimize database performance, queries, and indexing
- Monitor database health, performance, and security
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Collaborate with developers to design efficient data structures
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with policies
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
- Implement automation for database management tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Engineer / Database Administrator
- Strong knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning
- Familiarity with data security and backup strategies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
