Job:

Provide support in migrating, upgrading, configuring, troubleshooting and administering the Database Platforms in non-Production and Production environments. Ensure the platform adherence to IT compliance requirements.

Role:

. Create new DB creations, database network configuration, determine and adhere to guidelines for database structures and file layout, review and enhance scripts and procedures, proper management of transaction and redo/archive logs.

. Maintain regular database maintenance schedules.

. Monitor backups, recovery and replication for successful completion.

. Perform Disaster Recovery for all the critical systems and ensure successful rebuilt of Production or Disaster Recovery servers, if necessary.

. Document daily checks and status update.

. Report monthly on database size and DB Uptime and Performance.

. Review, improve and document the database administration and operational guide on new or revised processes and procedures regularly.

. Assist the Operations and Project Lead on the issues related to database in daily operations or new projects implementation.

. Any other ad-hoc duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

. Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computing, Electrical Engineering, IT or its equivalent.

. Experience in system administration in enterprise Database technologies (Oracle and/or MS SQL).

. Knowledge in Oracle Linux, database intrusion technologies are an advantage.

. Familiar with IT compliance standards such as CIS or DISA in a variety of technical environments, including Windows, Linux, etc.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems.

. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
