We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimise, and support mission-criticaldatabase environments.
The role will focus on high availability, datareplication, and data integrity, with strong emphasis on OracleGoldenGate, Oracle Veridata, and cloud-based deployments on AmazonWeb Services (AWS) or any other Cloud Platform.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data replication, validation, disaster recovery, and cloud database operationswithin complex enterprise environments.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliverscalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions that align with businessobjectives.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, patch, and maintain Oracle databases
- Manage backup & recovery (RMAN), performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Ensure database availability, reliability, and security compliance
- Design, implement, and manage real-time data replication using Oracle GoldenGate
- Monitor and troubleshoot replication lag, latency, and failures
- Perform data validation and reconciliation using Oracle Veridata
- Support data migration, DR setups, and cross-region replication strategies
- Deploy and manage Oracle databases on Amazon Web Services, including: Amazon RDS for Oracle & EC2-hosted Oracle databases
- Implement high availability architectures (Multi-AZ, DR, failover)
- Manage storage, networking, and security configurations in AWS
- Optimize cloud cost, performance, and scalability
- Implement database security controls (encryption, access control, auditing)
- Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards
- Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, and audit requirements
- Monitor database health, performance metrics, and alerts
- Perform SQL tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimisation
- Use OEM / third-party tools for proactive monitoring
- Develop scripts (Shell / Python) for automation of DBA tasks
- Support CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code where applicable (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Oracle GoldenGate (setup, config, troubleshooting)
- Oracle Veridata (data validation, reconciliation)
- Experience with Oracle HA/DR solutions (Data Guard, RAC)
- Hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services
- Strong knowledge of:
- RMAN backup & recovery
- Performance tuning (AWR, ASH reports)
- SQL & PL/SQL
