Database Administrator

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain the performance of Database servers
• Develop process for optimizing the DB Security
• Set and maintain DB standards
• Manage Db access
• Performance tuning of DB
• Install, upgrade and maintain DB applications
• Diagnose and troubleshoot DB errors.
• Recommend and implement emerging DB technologies
• Create and manage DB reports
• Create automation for repeating DB tasks
• Be available for on-call support as needed

Job Requirements

• 5-7 years relevant experience as Database Server Administration
• Strong command of SQL, Advanced knowledge of DB security, backup & recovery, performance monitoring and standards
• Shell scripting
• Managing Physical standby databases
• Database installation/upgrade
• DB Patching
• Good knowledge on ORACLE RAC, DB2 HADR
• Knowledge on Mysql, DB2
• Any exposure to Middleware technologies like WAS and WebLogic will be an added advantage
