Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to ensure the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. You will collaborate with project teams to optimize database systems, enhance availability, and implement robust data security measures.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain database software and related technologies to ensure system stability and functionality
- Monitor database performance metrics and optimize queries, indexes, and configurations to achieve high availability and reliability
- Develop and implement database backup and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity
- Troubleshoot database issues and conduct root cause analysis to resolve system disruptions promptly
- Implement and enforce data security policies and procedures to comply with data privacy regulations and mitigate security risks
- Manage database access by creating and maintaining users, roles, and permissions aligned with security best practices
- Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Develop and maintain comprehensive database documentation and standards to support operational consistency
- Perform database upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure compatibility and system stability
- Configure and manage database replication and clustering to support high availability and failover mechanisms
- Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks and resource contention issues to maintain optimal database operation
- Utilize SSRS for report development and SSIS/ETL tools to support data integration and reporting needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience maintaining and optimizing MongoDB databases
- Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
