Role Overview
Role Title: Senior Business Data Product Manager
Function: Data
Seniority Level: Mid-Senior level
Employment Type: Full time
Core Responsibilities
- Business Partnership & Strategy: Embed within core business lines (e.g., Hotel/Car Rental/Marketing/Platform) as its data strategy partner. Diagnose business pains and plan the data product roadmap for that domain.
- Team Leadership & Delivery Management: Lead a small data product delivery team (including Data Mart Analysts) to translate business requirements into concrete Data Mart designs, reports, and dashboards, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
- Drive Business Value & Enablement: Own the business impact of data products. Foster a data-driven culture through training, review, and impact tracking. Quantify value contributions (e.g., revenue growth, efficiency gain, cost optimization).
Qualifications
- Business & Data Expertise:
- 5+ years in data product or BI roles, with at least 2 years deeply embedded in a business line (e.g., transactional platform, growth marketing, supply chain).
- Excellent business diagnosis, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence mid-to-senior business leaders.
- Proficient in metric design and data modeling, capable of leading complex Data Mart design. Strong SQL skills. Hands-on experience with BigQuery + DBT is a strong plus.
- Team Management & Delivery Skills:
- Proven experience in leading analysts or a small data product team, skilled in task breakdown, prioritization, and cross-functional project execution.
- Good sense of data visualization and reporting UX, able to guide the team to produce clear, actionable data products.
- Language & Soft Skills: Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese. Self-motivated, result-oriented, with strong project drive and collaboration skills.
