As a Data Scientist (Molecular Biology), you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Apply advanced statistical techniques and machine learning approaches to interrogate complex biological and clinical datasets.
Extract meaningful patterns and insights from data, translating findings into clear narratives that support research and scientific communications. - Identify and evaluate potential cancer biomarkers across DNA, RNA, and non-coding RNA, or construct predictive models for multi-analyte diagnostic solutions.
- Build and refine deep learning frameworks that combine multi-omics data with medical imaging inputs such as CT and X-ray scans.
- Design and implement new analytical pipelines and tools to improve data interpretation, process optimisation, and quality assurance.
- Provide statistical guidance for experimental planning, workflow development, and validation processes.
- Contribute analytical support to business-related and commercial initiatives when required.
Requirements:
- PhD or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field with at least 2 years experience developing multi-marker diagnostic models using machine learning.
- Strong understanding of diagnostic biomarker discovery, biomarker panel optimisation, and data preprocessing.
- Proficient coding skills with hands-on experience in NGS data analysis preferred.
