- Role: Data Scientist III
- Location: 100% Remote (Global)
- Compensation: USD 90110 per hour
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist III to support high-impact strategic initiatives across a large-scale product and platform ecosystem. This role is ideal for a data professional with strong analytical depth, experience working with complex datasets, and a proven ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to drive product strategy, experimentation, and ecosystem health measurement.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Modeling
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Build statistical and predictive models to support product and ecosystem decision-making
- Deliver high-quality ad hoc analysis in response to urgent business needs
Metrics & Measurement
- Design, implement, and maintain key metrics to measure product performance, engagement, and ecosystem health
- Develop frameworks for long-term performance tracking and reporting
Experimentation
- Design and execute structured experiments to evaluate product features, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
- Apply statistical rigor and causal inference principles to interpret results
Reporting & Visualization
- Build dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Unidash, or Metrics360
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define analytical requirements
- Present insights that directly inform product strategy and roadmap decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or similar roles
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Proficiency in Python or R
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Unidash, Metrics360, or similar)
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex insights clearly
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large-scale data infrastructure in technology or platform ecosystems
- Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Presto, Hive, Scuba or similar technologies)
- Experience in experimentation design and causal inference methodologies
- Prior experience in contractor or consulting environments
- Previous experience at a major technology company
