Role Overview
- Own the company-wide data platform - a unified foundation for warehousing, ML, risk and business teams.
- Lead the real-time Data platform powering real-time risk decisioning, fraud detection and real-time profiles.
- Drive the Databricks platform layer - Workflows, Unity Catalog, ACL and CI/CD with DABs / IaC.
- Build a self-service data portal: development, scheduling, monitoring, SLA, lineage and asset catalog.
- Own platform reliability, capacity planning and FinOps; set SLOs and lead post-mortems for P0 / P1 incidents.
- Partner with SRE, Security and Compliance on encryption, masking, row-level access, audit and regulatory requirements.
- Set the quarterly roadmap and build a platform-as-product culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or above; 8+ years in big-data / data-platform engineering; 3+ years as tech lead of a platform team.
- Source-level debugging in at least one of Spark / Flink / Kafka.
- Deep lakehouse expertise (Delta Lake / Iceberg / Hudi) with production migration or greenfield build.
- Hands-on Databricks: Workspaces, Workflows, Unity Catalog, DLT, Photon, DABs.
- Hands-on Alibaba Cloud stack: DataWorks / MaxCompute / Realtime Flink / Hologres / DataHub.
- Solid with K8s, Terraform, CI/CD; able to put the platform under IaC.
- Familiar with financial data security, privacy and regulatory requirements (classification, cross-border, audit trail).
- Strong systems thinking, platform-as-product mindset and executive communication.
