Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong knowledge of Managerial Accounting to support enterprise data initiatives for a leading Japanese bank. The role involves designing scalable data models for financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, and analytics while working closely with business and technology stakeholders.

.Key Responsibilities.

. Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

. Develop data models supporting Managerial Accounting, FP&A, and financial reporting.

. Collaborate with Finance, Business, and Data Engineering teams to define data requirements.

. Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and metadata standards.

. Support data warehouse, ETL/ELT, and analytics initiatives.

. Optimize data models for reporting and performance.

.Required Skills.

. 5+ years of Data Modeling experience in Banking or Financial Services.

. Strong understanding of Managerial Accounting, including Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Chart of Accounts, Budgeting, Forecasting, P&L, Variance Analysis, and Cost Allocation.

. Hands-on experience with ER Modeling, Dimensional Modeling (Star/Snowflake), and Data Warehouse design.

. Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL/ELT processes.

. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar modern data platforms is preferred.

. Knowledge of Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Quality frameworks.

. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

. Experience working with Japanese banks or APAC financial institutions.

. Exposure to Collibra, Microsoft Purview, T24, Oracle / SAP Financials, or similar platforms.

. Familiarity with regulatory reporting and enterprise finance data domains.
