Overview of Role/Principle Responsibilities:

The Platform Service Support department is a key hub within Schroders Global Operating Platform providing Data Management and Reconciliation services to support Investment Management and Client Servicing activities across the firm.

Activities include Reference & Master data management, Pricing & Complex Instrument Valuation, Data Analytics solutions and performing cash and position reconciliation against our partnering custodians. Supporting the Asia Pacific region based in Singapore, an exciting opportunity has been created to support and progress the provision of high-quality Data Management and Reconciliation services to Schroders.

We are looking for an energetic individual who enjoys problem solving, aspires to create genuine impact to the business, and appreciates working through technical and operational issues to be part of the Platform Services Support team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform the daily, weekly, and monthly data quality assurance and cash/stock reconciliation activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit-readiness.
  • Support escalations from stakeholders such as complex or unresolved issues, including data issues, trade breaks and aged items, and ensure their timely investigation and resolution.
  • Assist with model validation and maintenance for fair valuation
  • Perform consolidation & analysis of datasets and conduct appropriate data validation to support the review and scrubbing of datasets across multiple data sources .
  • Support ongoing department initiatives such as process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Develop MI to support various business needs such as management reporting and operational oversight (KPI/KRIs)
  • Collaborate closely with offshore/onshore teams to monitor service level agreements (SLAs), ensure effective handover of information, and assist in resolving operational issues.

Skills And Behaviors Required

  • Experience in security valuation, reconciliations or investment operations oversight, with a strong understanding of asset management, custody, and trade lifecycle will be preferred
  • Detailed oriented, enthusiastic, self-starting with a positive outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work well with others effectively in teams. Focused on continuous improvement, quality and delivery.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines and prioritise conflicting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to challenge outputs constructively.
  • Demonstrates the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Possess experience and good knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Python or other business Intelligence tools.
