We are seeking an experienced professional to drive data governance initiatives and ensure accurate, timely regulatory reporting within the banking and financial services sector. The role is techno-functional, requiring strong knowledge of data management frameworks, regulatory reporting standards, and hands-on experience with data analysis and automation tools.
Data Governance:
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and data quality standards.
- Define data ownership, stewardship, and lineage across business and technology domains.
- Implement and monitor data quality metrics to ensure accuracy and consistency of key data elements.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure compliance with data policies and regulatory data requirements.
- Support data classification, metadata management, and audit processes.
Regulatory Reporting:
- Oversee end-to-end process of regulatory reporting to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Interpret and apply local and international reporting standards (e.g., MAS 610/1003, Basel III/IV, IFRS, BCBS 239).
- Liaise with Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to reconcile and validate data used in regulatory submissions.
- Maintain data lineage documentation to trace source-to-report mapping for audit and compliance.
- Support automation and optimization of reporting workflows using tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Python.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Regulatory Reporting within banking or financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, AxiomSL, or equivalent).
- Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and data quality monitoring.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or other workflow management tools is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
