Our client in public sector is looking for a Data Governance Manager to join their team.
Your new role
- Establish and govern enterprise-wide data policies, standards, catalogs, and metadata to enable secure data use.
- Lead data stewardship, defining ownership models and coordinating stewards across business domains.
- Implement data security controls and ensure regulatory compliance, including PDPA and GDPR.
- Drive secure, reusable datasharing practices through curated datasets, contracts, and adoption initiatives.
- Oversee data asset lifecycle and delivery, coordinating stakeholders and applying Agile methods to ensure high-quality data products.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 5+ years of data governance experience.
- Proven track record implementing data governance or master data management initiatives.
- Strong skills in data cataloguing, metadata management, data quality, and data modeling.
- Proficient in SQL, with solid understanding of relational, NoSQL, and modern data architectures.
- Knowledgeable in data integration, ETL/ELT patterns, data lineage, and data security controls.
- Strong analytical, documentation, planning, and problemsolving abilities with ability to work independently.
