We are seeking a proactive and analytical Data Governance Analyst to support the Asia COO Department in Singapore. This role sits at the centre of operational coordination and governance, and is well suited to a candidate with experience in data governance, data management, reporting, risk management, or banking operations.
You will help manage reporting, dashboards, KPIs, budget monitoring, outsourcing oversight, and governance documentation, while also supporting automation and process improvement initiatives across the COO function.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the below tasks, but not limited to: -
Steering and Reporting
- Develop and generate reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and communicate the effectiveness of departmental activities.
- Oversee budget and resource monitoring (FTE) in collaboration with operational teams and the Finance Department; conduct budget exercises, monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate resource allocation and financial forecasting.
- Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Projects
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, contributing expertise on topics as required.
- Support the automation of processes and the adaptation of systems to enhance operational efficiency, security, and processing times.
- Outsourcing and Third-Party Risk Management
- Assist in the oversight of outsourced service providers for the COO Department.
- Prepare and maintain the outsourcing monitoring list; collaborate with stakeholders (CAIS Head Office and Asia branches) to align monitoring frameworks and conduct regular due diligence assessments.
- Support the maintenance and governance monitoring of the third-party risk management framework.
Management of external and internal relations
- Monitor and maintain contract reference frameworks
- Participate in the procurement process in coordination with the central purchasing team.
- Oversee invoice processing and billing activities, working closely with the Finance Department.
- Manage supplier relationships related to billing and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Support the overall monitoring of outsourced services and SLA compliance.
Governance of the COO department
- Assist in the management and monitoring of governance documentation (e.g., directives and procedures) within the COO scope
- Covering all activities within his/her scope, to ensure proper information flow with the COO Office team at CAIS Head Office, and to serve as the link for the various requests
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Min. 3 years of experience in data governance, data management, data analytics, risk management, or related banking/financial services roles.
- Familiarity with third-party risk management frameworks and regulatory expectations, such as MAS and HKMA, is an advantage.
- Experience in private banking or governance-related roles is preferred.
- Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and/or Power BI.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a structured but evolving environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Fluency in English is required, with Mandarin and French as advantage due to regular interaction with internal stakeholders in both North Asia and Europe region
