An IT solutions consultancy is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their team.
This is a one-year fixed-term contract, with an option to extend for another year.
Your new role
- Led the transition of on-premises and SharePoint-based data infrastructure to AWS Data Analytics Platform (DAP), ensuring zero disruption to operations.
- Redesigned Python scripts and UiPath workflows for AWS services (SageMaker, Glue) and built robust ETL pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources (HRPS, Gateway, SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, FormSG, MS Access).
- Migrated Tableau dashboards to AWS QuickSight while preserving full functionality and usability for end users.
- Developed detailed process documentation, training materials, and conducted knowledge transfer sessions to enable smooth adoption of AWS workflows.
- Performed comprehensive testing and validation of all migrated systems to ensure reliability and performance in the new environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Skilled in AWS services including SageMaker, QuickSight, Athena, Lambda, and data pipelines, with hands-on experience using Python and CLI.
- Proficient in CloudFormation and scripting (YAML/JSON) for provisioning Lambda functions and integrating serverless components with traditional infrastructure.
- Strong Python development and UiPath automation skills; experienced in building event-driven, serverless workflows and deploying Lambda for data processing.
- Extensive experience in Tableau and QuickSight dashboard design, ETL processes, and serverless data workflows leveraging AWS Lambda.
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools (GitLab, Nexus), infrastructure change management, and adept at documentation, training, and user support.
