Key Responsibilities
- Data Infrastructure: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and storage solutions.
- Data Quality: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across all systems and workflows.
- Performance Optimization: Improve the efficiency and scalability of data processing jobs and platforms.
- Process Improvement & Mentorship: Enhance data engineering practices and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, business analysts, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, actionable data solutions.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or backend engineering roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, and Airflow
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Strong SQL skills
- Data Modeling: Proven experience designing and maintaining data models, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- System Design: Strong capability in building scalable and reliable data architectures for both batch and real-time processing.
- Data Governance: Solid understanding of data quality, security, lineage, and compliance best practices.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
