Data Engineer

Responsibility

• The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:
• Design and build the DWH database models (star schema).
• Manage the semantic model in Oracle Analytics Cloud to provide a unified view of our organization's data.
• Manage application roles and access rights for end users including row level security filters, to protect sensitive data.
• Work with ETL specialists, IT business Consulting as well as external vendors to ensure data ingestion and integration into the database model
• Collaborate with Business Controlling and business counterparts on new reporting requirements.
• Ensure data quality, security and compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines.
• Ensure proper documentation of data infrastructure, data models, workflows as well as security concepts in accordance with internal security policies.

Skills

• Looking for a Data Engineer more focused on Database modelling, Currently in Oracle environment and going forward with GCP stack.
• Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing
• Strong understanding of data modelling techniques and hands on experience building database models (star schema).
• Expertise with ETL (extract, transform, load) processes. Familiarity with BI tool integration such as Tableau or Looker
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, and ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Customer-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
