Data Engineer, Crypto Market Data

We are seeking a Data Engineer to shape and scale the next generation of real-time market data capabilities for a leading global commodity trading company. In this critical role, you will design and operate high-performance data infrastructure that powers fast, reliable crypto market insight. Working closely with engineering, quantitative and trading teams, you will build resilient pipelines, standardize data flows and deliver platforms that accelerate decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities:
As the Data Engineer, you will own the development and operation of real-time data systems that ingest, normalize and distribute live crypto market information. You will architect low-latency pipelines, establish data quality and monitoring frameworks, and ensure that streaming data meets the needs of execution, analytics, and risk functions.
You will collaborate across engineering and trading groups to define reusable APIs, data models, and platform patterns that support enterprise-wide consistency. You will also contribute to product innovation by shaping new data services, modernizing ingestion patterns, and enabling machine-learning workflows. Senior responsibilities include guiding engineering best practices, supporting incident reviews, and helping teams balance performance, reliability, and cost.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should bring at least 3 years of experience in data engineering, real-time systems or trading technology, ideally with exposure to crypto or financial markets. You will need strong proficiency with streaming architectures, cloud-based data platforms and modern programming practices.
A solid foundation in distributed systems, monitoring and data governance is essential, as is experience implementing secure, compliant data solutions.
