Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are supporting a financial services firm in the hire of a data engineer / data analyst to support critical data management operations within an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Total Portfolio Data Mart (TPDM). This role sits within a high-impact data strategy team, working closely with investment stakeholders to ensure data integrity, quality, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily data operations across EDW and TPDM platforms

• Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and quality checks (build, monitor, troubleshoot)

• Investigate and resolve data issues and discrepancies

• Work with stakeholders to manage data queries and SLA commitments

• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation processes

• Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data processes and workflows

Requirements:

• Armed with a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, you should have at least 3 years of strong hands-on experiences in data analysis /ordata operations as well as data reconciliation and data quality checks

• Ideally, you would have had CAT-1 clearance (or be eligible to), you would also be proficient in Oracle PL/SQL, and has got some form of experience with UAT and data validation

• Exposure to data issue management and incident handling will also be mandatory

• Understanding of investment / financial data domain is definitely a must

• Any prior experiences with Tableau (data visualization) or Snowflake or modern data platforms will be highly advantageous
