Data Engineer (1-Year Contract)
Contract Period: July 2026 - June 2027
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 6:00pm
5 days per week (excluding weekends and Public Holidays)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support data integration, analytics, and reporting across the organisation's data platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data flow, data quality, and efficient data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion and processing of data into the in-house data platform.
- Review, optimise, and maintain ETL / ELT workflows and scripts to support evolving business requirements.
- Build and maintain data marts, data models, and structured datasets to support analytics and reporting.
- Implement and evaluate new data engineering tools and technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and data quality issues.
- Document data architecture, workflows, and lifecycle processes across the data platform.
- Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet operational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in data engineering, data pipeline development, or ETL processes.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or similar.
- Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing, and data architecture concepts.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, data platforms, or big data technologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
