As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing enterprise data platforms, helping business stakeholders transform data into actionable insights. Working closely with data engineers, data scientists, product managers and infrastructure teams, you will develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines, dashboards and cloud-based data solutions while ensuring data quality, governance and platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain and optimise scalable data pipelines to support analytics, reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
- Support daily operations of enterprise data platforms, including job monitoring, error handling, incident resolution and recovery activities.
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues involving data pipelines, APIs, connectivity, cloud services and platform integrations.
- Design, build and optimise SQL queries, ETL processes and Python-based data transformation workflows.
- Develop and enhance interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Tableau or Amazon QuickSight.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to prepare, transform and operationalise datasets for analytical and machine learning solutions.
- Support cloud-based data platform initiatives, infrastructure improvements and ongoing cloud transformation projects.
- Build and maintain DevOps pipelines to automate deployment, testing and operational processes.
- Develop unit tests, generate test datasets and support quality assurance activities for data products.
- Review, optimise and improve performance, scalability and reliability of data pipelines and platform components.
- Assist in implementing secure, scalable and governed data architecture aligned with enterprise data standards.
- Identify, investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities across data platforms and supporting infrastructure.
- Produce technical documentation covering system architecture, data pipelines, configurations and operational procedures.
- Provide technical consultation and support to business stakeholders, ensuring effective adoption of enterprise data solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable, secure and high-quality data products.
Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering or IT Infrastructure.
- Strong experience developing and optimising SQL queries for data transformation, integration and analytics.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering, scripting and automation.
- Experience building dashboards using Tableau, Amazon QuickSight or similar BI platforms.
- Understanding of dashboard design principles and data visualisation best practices.
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications, APIs and cloud-based services.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to Have- Experience administering enterprise platforms such as Tableau Server, Talend, MS SQL Server or SAS Viya.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native data platforms.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with SHIP-HATS, CI/CD or other DevOps toolchains.
- Understanding of data governance, security and enterprise data management practices.
- Experience working in Agile or rapid application development environments.
- Exposure to server, database or network administration.
- Relevant certifications in AWS, Tableau, Talend, Microsoft SQL Server or related technologies.
