Data Engineer – AI Solutions – Fintech / Private Markets (Singapore)

A leading fintech platform in the private markets space is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and build scalable data infrastructure supporting advanced analytics and AI-driven applications. This role works closely with AI engineers and product teams to deliver high-quality data pipelines and data services powering machine learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable data architectures supporting analytics and AI/ML applications
• Develop robust data ingestion pipelines to process structured and unstructured datasets
• Collaborate with AI engineers to optimise data pipelines for model training and experimentation
• Maintain and enhance data warehouses and databases across environments
• Implement data solutions including relational, NoSQL, blob, and vector-based data stores
• Ensure high data quality, performance, and reliability across platforms
• Troubleshoot data issues and implement long-term solutions for system stability
• Stay current with developments in data engineering, AI tooling, and cloud infrastructure

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, machine learning data pipelines, or similar roles
• Strong Python experience with data processing and analytics frameworks
• Experience building vector databases and working with embeddings for LLM-based applications
• Hands-on experience implementing machine learning pipelines with large datasets
• Strong experience with Azure data infrastructure and cloud-based data processing
• Experience in fintech or financial services environments advantageous
