Data Centre Project Engineer / Commissioning Engineer

Singapore permanent employment, but with extensive travel at sites around all SE Asia

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for project delivery and work closely with the commissioning team in site operations. The role supports project progression, ensuring expectations, procedures, and deadlines are met.

More senior candidates will be considered as Senior Commissioning Engineer/ Assistant Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Manager.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Managers in ensuring the successful implementation of projects.

- Undertake all testing and commissioning activities from factory tests to integrated systems tests in the final stage of projects.

- Monitor site progress and coordinate site meetings.

- Attend site meetings and address technical queries from clients.

- Review and track vendor responses and method statements.

- Witness contractor testing and commissioning results and confirm compliance.

- Handle project administration and documentation tasks.

- Support HS&E compliance through PPE use, hazard reporting, documentation assistance, and safe work practices.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

- Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but will consider Mechanical and Building Services Engineering or related discipline in engineering

- Comfortable to work on-site

- Relevant working experience in MEP systems, building services coordination and/or testing & commissioning process with multi-national corporate exposure

- Hands-on knowledge of PC applications such as MSOffice, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit
- Self-motivated and believe in continuous improvement
- Can manage their time effectively, drive results, building trust and positive partnerships
- Good communication / interpersonal and negotiation skills to handle all stakeholders
