Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
At least 6+ years of experience in data center network engineering, deployment, or operations.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VXLANs, and multicast.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems-comfortable with command-line operations, file systems, process management, system log analysis (journals, syslog), and package management.
Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash/Shell-ability to write, debug, and maintain automation scripts for network operations, configuration management, and data parsing.
Hands-on experience with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or equivalents.
Experience with fiber optics, structured cabling, and optical transport systems (DWDM/CWDM).
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices for infrastructure-as-code.
Ability to work in a 24x7 operational environment, including shift rotations and on-call support.
