Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for Data Center and IT infrastructure projects.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for:
- Servers, storage, and compute equipment
- Network infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.)
- Racks, PDUs, UPS, cooling systems
- Structured cabling and connectivity solutions
- Software licenses and IT services
- Conduct RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
- Support contract management and vendor performance reviews.
- Drive cost savings and identify alternative sourcing strategies while maintaining quality and service levels.
Data Center Infrastructure Procurement
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT Infrastructure, Facilities, and Project teams to support Data Center deployment and expansion projects.
- Manage procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of critical infrastructure components.
- Monitor supplier lead times and mitigate supply chain risks impacting project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and industry standards.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Coordinate international shipments and equipment movement across Data Centers and project sites.
- Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers.
- Monitor inventory levels, warehouse activities, and material availability.
- Resolve shipment delays, customs clearance issues, and supply disruptions.
- Support import/export compliance and documentation requirements.
Analytics & Inventory Management
- Analyze procurement spend, inventory trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop procurement dashboards and KPIs.
- Generate reports covering:
- Purchase order status
- Supplier performance
- Inventory turnover
- Logistics cost analysis
- Procurement savings initiatives
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with:
- Data Center Operations
- IT Infrastructure
- Engineering
- Finance
- Logistics Teams
- External Suppliers
- Serve as primary procurement point of contact for project-related purchases.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Information Technology, Logistics, or related discipline.
Experience
- 2-6 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or logistics experience.
- Prior experience purchasing Data Center or IT infrastructure equipment is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting regional or global procurement activities.
- Exposure to project procurement and capital equipment purchasing is advantageous.
