Job Description

Job Summary

The Data Center Asset Technician is responsible for ensuring accurate, secure, and compliant management of all data center assets. This includes overseeing asset lifecycle processes, performing inventory audits, maintaining asset records, and supporting on-site operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Adhere strictly to asset management regulations, compliance, and ethical standards, ensuring all workflows are lawful and proper. No unauthorized coding, concealment, or non-compliant actions.

Execute warehouse and asset management procedures in accordance with company SOPs, including personnel entry/exit logs and asset in/out records.

Utilize asset management tools and platforms to respond to and execute work orders per SLA requirements, ensuring SLA compliance and 100% asset data accuracy.

Provide recommendations for process improvements in asset and work order management.

Ensure asset security throughout all stages-storage, transport, deployment, and decommissioning-following IDC data center environment and safety standards.

Conduct full inventory audits of all data center assets, including location, serial number, status, model, and ensure records match physical assets.

Use asset management software and tools for data retrieval, analysis, and exception reporting efficiently.

Maintain awareness of IDC asset environment and safety protocols, and propose improvements to enhance operational and asset security.

Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Independently manage daily tasks and small projects, demonstrating self-management and organizational capabilities.

Qualifications

Education: Full-time Associate Degree or above in a relevant field.

Experience: Minimum 1 years in asset management or related warehouse management.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with common data center equipment (e.g., switches, servers) and accessories (e.g., optical modules, boards, fiber).

Warehouse management experience, including understanding of dust and moisture prevention measures.

Proficiency in using asset management software and tools for inventory tracking and analysis.

Communication: Clear, logical expression and polite listening skills.

Collaboration: Team-oriented with ability to support and complement colleagues.

Management: Strong self-management skills and capability to manage daily work and small projects independently.
