Work Schedule: 5 days/week (may include weekends), 44 hours/week, shift-based (day/night rotation - let us know your preference)
Salary: $3,000 basic + OT pay (no other allowances)
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on FieldOps Technician to join our data center operations team, supporting critical network infrastructure through loopback testing, circuit audits, and on-site troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in network cabling installation, maintenance, or circuit testing - data center environment preferred
- Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma / Degree in IT, Networking, or a related field preferred
- Able to lift and carry data center equipment up to 25kg
- Comfortable working shift schedules, including occasional weekends
Key Responsibilities
Loopback Testing & Circuit Audits
Perform loopback testing and circuit audits in line with project requirements.
Loopback Testing
- Identify network circuits requiring loopback testing
- Set up test equipment to simulate traffic on each circuit
- Conduct loopback testing on identified circuits
- Isolate and troubleshoot faults or issues found during testing
- Document all test results, including faults and issues
Circuit Audits
- Conduct physical inspections of network circuits
- Verify network devices are properly configured and connected to correct circuits
- Test signal quality of each circuit
- Document audit findings, including discrepancies or issues
- Remediate issues identified during audits
Safety
- Participate in and help conduct regular safety briefings on hazards and protocols
