In this role, you'll drive the energy and land strategy underpinning our data center growth across APAC. Core responsibilities include:
- Owning power-related deals and agreements from negotiation through execution, including the full grid application and interconnection process.
- Structuring and owning land deals and agreements, from sourcing through closing.
- Building and managing strategic relationships with government bodies, utilities, industrial park developers, land owners, consultants, and developers to secure energy capacity, land access, and favorable terms.
- Partnering with the regional public policy team to engage energy regulators and shape a constructive policy dialogue.
- Contributing to data center site selection by evaluating energy feasibility, land availability, cost, and risk factors across the region.
- Tracking and assessing the regional energy landscape — grid infrastructure, generation mix, and decarbonization trends — to inform investment decisions.
- Mapping the regional land landscape, including industrial and commercial availability, and staying current on permitting requirements and processes across APAC markets.
Required
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with a demonstrated track record in grid applications and energy contracting for hyperscale data centers.
- Hands-on experience with land acquisition, industrial/commercial real estate transactions, or permitting processes in APAC markets.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Solid grasp of power and renewable energy markets.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Plus Points
- Background in a comparable role within data centers or the energy sector.
- Familiarity with industrial park development or land brokerage especially for data centers in the region.
- Exposure to behind-the-meter power research and analysis.
- Experience in renewable energy development or energy storage, including work with developers across solar, hydro, and related technologies.
- Willingness to travel on short notice.
