Data Architect

We're Hiring: Data/AI Architect (Pre-Sales)

We are looking for an experienced Data/AI Architect to design scalable enterprise data and AI solutions, support pre-sales activities and engage customers on complex digital transformation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage customers to understand their data, analytics and AI requirements
• Design enterprise Data and AI platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, pipelines and AI/ML environments
• Develop solution architectures, technical proposals, quotations and presentations
• Conduct product demonstrations and communicate technical solutions clearly
• Partner with sales teams to identify and pursue business opportunities
• Position solutions based on customer needs, industry trends and competitor offerings
• Manage relationships with key technology vendors and partners
• Collaborate with pre-sales specialists to develop comprehensive end-to-end solutions
• Provide technical guidance throughout the sales and solution-delivery lifecycle

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing scalable, data-centric architectures
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AI/ML solutions
• Experience in data engineering, analytics platforms, data visualisation and AI/ML deployment
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, SOA, security and industry best practices
• Previous sales or pre-sales experience
• Proven experience managing large-scale or multi-million-dollar projects
• Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and deliver within tight deadlines

Technical Experience:

Hands-on knowledge of one or more of the following:

• Databricks, Cloudera, Denodo, Talend or Tableau
• Run, H2O.ai, Hadoop, Spark or similar AI/ML platforms
• Microsoft Azure, AWS or other cloud data services
• Data lakes, data warehouses, ETL pipelines and enterprise analytics solutions

Added Advantages:

• Experience supporting public-sector infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of the IM8 framework, data governance and security requirements
• Certifications such as CDMP, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer or equivalent
• Experience managing multi-service-line teams, budgets, resources and client delivery
