Role Overview
We are looking for a senior Data Analytics Solution Architect to lead the design of secure, scalable enterprise data platforms across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments. This role will cover data architecture, cloud infrastructure, analytics platforms, governance, and security for large-scale government/defence-related projects, including GCC and MINDEF Commercial Cloud environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design scalable and cost-effective data analytics solutions, including data pipelines, data warehouses, data lakes, data lakehouses, and reporting platforms.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into end-to-end technical architecture designs.
- Define data architecture across cloud-native, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
- Lead data integration strategies, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, metadata management, and data quality controls.
- Ensure structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources are integrated into centralised analytics platforms.
- Design and govern enterprise architecture across public cloud, private cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
- Provide architectural guidance on cloud-native services, containerisation, orchestration, and platform modernisation.
- Monitor and optimise performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency of data and cloud platforms.
- Ensure compliance with government security policies, privacy regulations, and security standards.
- Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and IT operations.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to internal teams.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in data architecture, enterprise architecture, or related roles.
- Strong experience in data warehousing, data lakes, data lakehouses, ETL/ELT, and analytics platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering, data governance, master data management, data quality, and business intelligence.
- Experience in data modelling, including conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional modelling, data vault, and domain-oriented models.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure architecture, including networking, storage, compute, and security.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with GCC and MINDEF Commercial Cloud environments.
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Good understanding of data security architecture, encryption, key management, secrets management, and secure data access.
- Experience with data lineage, metadata management, cataloguing tools, and governance controls.
- Knowledge of streaming architecture, API-based data access, MLOps, and observability tools will be an advantage.
- Candidates must have prior CAT 1 / G50 security clearance and previous experience delivering MINDEF projects.
