Data & Analytics Engineer (Contract)

Role Overview
A banking institution is looking for a Data & Analytics Engineer to support AI-driven operations analytics, with a focus on log analysis, incident insights, and data modelling for intelligent operations. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and AI enablement.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Pipelines

• Design and build data pipelines for logs, incident records, and infrastructure metrics

• Integrate with log aggregation and monitoring platforms

• Structure and prepare data for AI and analytics consumption

AI-Driven Analytics

• Enable log correlation and intelligent reasoning using AI tools

• Collaborate with AI teams to feed structured data into machine learning models

Operations Analytics Use Cases

• Deliver analytics for incident management, storage and infrastructure metrics, and log monitoring insights

Dashboard & Visualisation

• Build dashboards using business intelligence and monitoring tools

• Present insights to leadership and support demo and rollout activities

Data Modelling & Governance

• Design data models for operational analytics

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and scalability across solutions

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in SQL and data modelling

• Hands-on experience with ETL and data pipelines

• Proficiency with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI or similar)

• Experience with log and monitoring platforms (e.g., Elastic, Splunk, or similar)

• Exposure to AI/ML concepts or LLM integration
