Internal Job Title: executive /senior executive - data analyst

This job contributes to organizational success by using technologies to solve business problems, assisting with solution design, technology roadmaps, solution implementation and system lifecycle management. This role also carries accountability for deep technical understanding within the domain and holding the ability to translate that to design and implementation for complex data analytics environments. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Manage end-to-end data projects identify issues, gather information from various sources, analyze data, interpret patterns and trends, build models, give recommendations, and create insightful automated reports
• Design and implement ETL (extract, transform, load) flows to collect data for supporting business and building Machine Learning (ML) models/algorithms
• Research, build, validate, test, deploy and improve Machine Learning models/algorithms for business optimization, including but not limited to user clustering, classification, regression and recommendation
• Work cross-functionally with business owners/product managers/developers to uncover insights, build state-of-the-art algorithms and solutions to support business
• Identifying, investigating and explaining trends and patterns of the data
• Breaking down complex concepts into clear and simple reports for the stakeholders
• Explaining technical findings to stakeholders in simple language
• Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business
• Working in a cross-functional team within the business or the management team to establish business needs.
• Defining new data collection and analysis processes
• Cross country support within the organization

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• At least a Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another analytical field
• Analytical mind and business acumen with the ability to work with large amounts of data to discover patterns and trends and to form conclusions based on findings. Must be extremely detailed oriented
• Excellent analytical skills, independent thinking, data-oriented, and knowledge of analytics tools required (SQL, Excel, Power BI, Python, or R)
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Quick learner and proven ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Goal-driven, highly motivated, with a desire to take the lead and learn new skills.

• Team player with an ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to employ patience and empathy while dealing with conflict or differing viewpoints
