Your Role in VT Markets:

We are seeking a Data Analyst Intern with a strong interest in data cleaning, reporting, and automation to support our growing team. This role requires an analytical mindset with the ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights. You will assist in preparing and maintaining datasets, building reports, and streamlining processes to drive efficiency. Working closely with the lead analyst, you will gain hands-on experience in real-world data projects while contributing to business decision-making and process improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data cleaning and preparation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of datasets.
  • Support the development and maintenance of dashboards for budget tracking, campaign performance, customer behaviour, and regional reporting.
  • Work with SQL, Python, GCP, and Google Analytics data to support marketing technology projects.
  • Help automate recurring data workflows, including batch data processes and near real-time data pipelines.
  • Support data integration between platforms such as CRM, customer engagement tools, paid media channels, and internal databases.
  • Conduct analysis to identify trends, performance gaps, attribution issues, and customer segments.
  • Assist in testing and improving AI or machine learning models used for scoring, segmentation, or prediction.
  • Document data logic, mapping rules, workflow processes, and dashboard definitions.
  • Collaborate with marketing, data, product, and engineering teams to support ongoing business initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for querying, joining, filtering, aggregating, and validating datasets.
  • Familiarity with Python for data cleaning, transformation, automation, and basic analysis.
  • Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions or related data services.
  • Exposure to AI or machine learning models, such as classification, prediction, scoring, or segmentation models.
  • Able to work with both large batched datasets and streaming or near real-time data.
  • Understanding of basic data structures, time complexity, and query optimisation concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies, duplicates, and logic gaps.
  • Good analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Minimum full-time commitment of 3 months, but candidates available for a longer internship period (i.e. 6 months) will be preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and customer data integration
  • Exposure to paid media channels such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, or Apple Search Ads
  • Experience with customer engagement tools (e.g. Braze, Iterable, CRM platforms)
  • Basic understanding of web analytics and tracking (e.g. GA4, event tracking)
  • Previous internship or project experience in data analytics or reporting.
  • Professional proficiency in Mandarin.

Internship Availability:

  • Minimum commitment of 3 months, but longer commitment would be preferred (i.e. 6 months).
  • Full-time commitment is preferred, but those who are able to commit to a minimum of 2 working days are welcome to apply.
  • Able to start by June 2026
