Data Analyst

Job Description

. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering human and machine data experiences using advanced analytics and visualization tools.

. This role focuses on enabling data-driven insights, supporting decision-making across teams, and ensuring that both human users and machine systems can effectively consume, interpret, and act on data.

. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME), leading analytical initiatives, guiding the team, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

. The role requires strong leadership, ownership of analytical decisions, and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

. Data Analysis & Insights Perform in-depth data analysis to identify core issues, trends, anomalies, and performance gaps.

. Translate complex data findings into actionable insights for business and technical stakeholders.

. Enable data discovery for both human users and machine-driven processes.

. Analyze expected vs. actual outcomes to support continuous improvement.

. Data Visualization & Reporting Design and develop advanced data visualizations and dashboards to present complex insights clearly Ensure visualizations are intuitive, accurate, and tailored to different audiences.

. Establish visualization standards and best practices across the team.

. Data Architecture & Lineage Design and review database schemas to support scalable analytics solutions.

. Define and maintain data lineage to ensure transparency, traceability, and trust in data.

. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure analytics-ready data structures.

. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Business, Compliance) to understand data needs.

. Provide analytics-driven solutions to problems across multiple teams.

. Contribute to key strategic and technical decisions with data-backed recommendations.

. Data Governance & Quality Design and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance.

. Define data quality checks, standards, and controls Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory data policies.

. Leadership & Mentorship Act as a subject matter expert in data analytics and visualization Lead, guide, and mentor junior analysts in best practices.

. Own team-level analytical decisions and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Required Skills

. Expert proficiency in Data Visualization (dashboards, storytelling with data, advanced charting techniques)

. Expert proficiency in Data Analytics (trend analysis, pattern recognition, insight generation)

. Strong SQL skills for data querying, analysis, and validation Hands-on experience with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent)

. Strong understanding of data modeling and analytical thinking.

. Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to explain complex insights clearly.

. Proven experience leading or mentoring a data analytics team.
