Salary Range: SGD4500-5300

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Access, extract, and prepare datasets from Databricks Lakehouse for analytical use.
  • Clean, validate, and transform data using SQL and Python to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Apply business rules and logic to derive analytical datasets and metrics.
  • Write optimized SQL queries and Python scripts to aggregate, join, and analyze large datasets.
  • Perform data quality checks, reconciliations, and sanity validations on reports and dashboards.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and work with data engineers to resolve upstream issues.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and analytical reports using BI tools connected to Databricks (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Create standardized KPI reports to support operational, management, and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure dashboards align with agreed business definitions and reporting standards.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Communicate insights through visual storytelling, presentations, and written summaries.
  • Support stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis, deep dives, and data interpretation.
  • Work closely with business users, product owners, and data engineers to understand reporting requirements.
  • Provide feedback to data engineering teams on data usability and analytical readiness.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and review sessions.
  • Contribute to data governance practices by following documentation, versioning, and validation standards.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong soft skills, including effective communication and the ability to manage and engage with users across different levels.
  • Experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into meaningful business insights.
  • A problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Experience in data visualization tools
  • Exposure to cloud-based data ecosystems
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
