Data Analyst | Bank | Contract

Job Scope

• Undertake the daily/weekly/regular exception reviews flagged in post trading monitoring.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and operations teams.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor data quality and implement validation checks.
• Support audit and regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Apply statistical techniques and analytical models to derive insights.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business queries and initiatives.

Job Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or related discipline.
• With 2 - 4 years of experience in financial services or trading environments.
• Familiarity with post-trade monitoring processes.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting requirements.
• Basic proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning and working with large scale datasets.
• Can use different analytics tools and platforms like SAS, SQL, Python, R. etc.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and quality standards.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate insights effectively across diverse audiences.
