IFS Capital Limited (IFS) is a regional provider of commercial financing services such as Accounts Receivable Purchase (Domestic and/or Export), property financing, term loans, working capital loans and government-assisted schemes to business enterprises. We are hiring a dedicated Data Engineer to join our Data Team at IFS Capital in Singapore. This offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong passion for data and eager to gain hands-on experience to expand project exposure, especially in the field of data pipeline infrastructure and management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform back-testing and calibration of the ECL models across all countries.
- Support the annual audit of the ECL models for all countries.
- Maintain and ensure end-to-end integrity of ECL data processing and calculations.
- Maintain and support company data pipeline to ensure data accuracy, stability, and timely processing.
- Design and implement data integration processes to consolidate multiple data sources into the data warehouse.
- Optimize data processing scripts and workflows to improve performance, cost efficiency, and scalability.
- Conduct data exploration (e.g., consumer behaviour data) and perform feature engineering to identify key risk factors correlated with consumer default.
- Develop and implement a machine learning model to predict consumer default probability and support automated credit decisioning.
- Monitor model performance, evaluate stability and drift, and recalibrate models periodically to maintain accuracy, robustness, and reliability over time.
- Develop and maintain AI agents to automate document ingestion, classification, and data extraction.
- Monitor extraction accuracy and continuously improve prompts/models/rules to meet quality targets.
Requirements:
- Minimum a Degree/Master's in Data Science or related discipline
- Relevant experience in the financial industry is preferred
- Strong problem-solving & analytical skills, critical thinking, and resourceful.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Good knowledge of Snowflake Data warehouse
- Good knowledge of Cloud Computing i.e AWS, Azure, Google Cloud is a plus
- Good knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and Version Control i.e Git is a plus
