Cybersecurity Project Manager

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise cybersecurity initiatives within a large and complex technology environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with cybersecurity architecture, engineering, infrastructure, application, operations, risk, procurement and vendor teams to formulate solutions, manage project delivery and ensure successful implementation and operationalisation of cybersecurity capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end cybersecurity projects from initiation, requirements gathering and solution evaluation through design, implementation, testing, deployment and operational handover.
- Facilitate workshops with cybersecurity, technology, infrastructure, application, operations, risk and business stakeholders.
- Translate business and security objectives into clear functional, technical and operational requirements.
- Review cybersecurity solution designs, architecture, integration requirements, deployment models, security controls and operational dependencies.
- Work closely with security architects and engineers to identify design gaps, implementation risks, dependencies and technical constraints.
- Develop and maintain project scope, implementation roadmap, project schedules, resource requirements, budgets and delivery plans.
- Manage project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, actions and change requests.
- Coordinate infrastructure readiness, application integration, security testing, user acceptance testing, operational readiness and production deployment.
- Manage third-party vendors, system integrators and professional service providers, ensuring delivery against agreed milestones, scope and acceptance criteria.
- Support RFI, RFP and RFQ activities including requirements definition, vendor evaluation, technical assessment, commercial evaluation and contract finalisation.
- Manage project financials including budgets, forecasts, commitments, expenditure and variances.
- Prepare project status reports and management materials for steering committees and governance forums.
- Ensure compliance with project governance, cybersecurity, technology risk, architecture, procurement and change-management requirements.
- Drive operational readiness including monitoring, support procedures, service levels, knowledge transfer, access arrangements and handover to operations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation using appropriate project management and collaboration tools.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6-9 years of relevant technology/project management experience, preferably with significant exposure to cybersecurity projects.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end implementation of cybersecurity or information security solutions.
- Good technical understanding of cybersecurity architecture, security controls, infrastructure and enterprise technology environments.
- Experience working with cybersecurity architects, engineers, infrastructure teams and application teams.
- Experience managing vendors, system integrators and third-party technology providers.
- Experience with project governance, risk and issue management, financial management, change control and management reporting.
- Experience with RFI, RFP or RFQ processes, vendor evaluation and procurement activities.
- Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile and/or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and Microsoft Office.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Exposure to cybersecurity architecture governance, technology risk assessments, security testing and operational readiness reviews.
- Prior experience within banking, financial services or another regulated enterprise environment will be advantageous.
