About the Role
We're looking for a curious and motivated Cyber Security Engineer Intern to join our cybersecurity and managed IT services team.
This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world security operations, AI-driven threat detection, and digital forensics work while supporting customer IT environments.
You'll work alongside experienced engineers and learn how cybersecurity is applied in practice — from monitoring alerts to investigating incidents.
What You'll Learn & Do
You'll support the team across a range of cybersecurity activities, including:
Security Operations & Monitoring
- Assist in monitoring security alerts from SIEM and endpoint protection tools
- (e.g. Wazuh, Sophos, Microsoft Defender)
- Support AI-assisted threat detection and security analysis
- Help analyse suspicious activities, malware alerts, and security incidents
Digital Forensics & Incident Support
- Assist with basic digital forensics tasks such as log analysis and endpoint investigation
- Support evidence collection and incident documentation
Infrastructure & Endpoint Security
- Help monitor endpoint health, antivirus status, and security compliance
- Support firewall, server, and network security administration tasks
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and patch management activities
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in cybersecurity improvement and automation initiatives
- Support documentation, SOP creation, and incident reporting
- Assist with IT asset inventory and lifecycle tracking
- Research emerging cyber threats, ransomware trends, CVEs, and attack techniques
- Help with phishing simulation exercises and security awareness activities
- Support compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, Singapore Cyber Trust Mark)
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in: Cyber Security/Digital Forensics/IT/Computer Engineering/Information Systems or a related discipline
Basic understanding of:
- Networking concepts
- Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Endpoint security and firewalls
- Log analysis and security monitoring
- Strong interest in cybersecurity, AI, and digital forensics
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with documentation and clear communication
- Able to work independently while being a team player
