Cybersecurity Engineer

Join a dynamic team as a Cybersecurity Specialist, where you will take the lead in all aspects of security operations. This role offers the opportunity to implement best practices in a hands-on environment while working closely with a lean technology team.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures in line with regulatory guidelines. Conduct regular risk assessments and manage the technology risk register while ensuring remediation actions are tracked. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, including performing data protection impact assessments. Implement and oversee security monitoring across various infrastructures, including cloud and endpoint devices. Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts and incidents maintain and test the incident response plan. Manage endpoint detection and response solutions, email security, and firewall rule sets, alongside regular vulnerability scanning. Harden cloud environments and evaluate third-party integrations and external partners for security compliance. Manage encryption standards, SSL/TLS certificates, and support secure coding practices. Design and deliver security awareness training to enhance organizational security culture. Conduct phishing simulations and track the improvements in security awareness among staff. Serve as the primary resource for security-related inquiries from various business units.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, ideally within regulated environments. Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and security frameworks. Experience with security in cloud environments, specifically with Azure security tools and practices. Proficiency with endpoint protection, log management, and vulnerability management tools. Strong documentation skills for producing policies, risk assessments, and compliance evidence independently. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or similar qualifications are preferred. Experience in the insurance or financial services sector in Singapore or the APAC region is a plus.
