Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and continuously maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity engineering process and management system covering the entire product lifecycle, from concept through decommissioning.

• Take ownership of the Cybersecurity Manager role within projects, including defining and overseeing cybersecurity architecture.

• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in cybersecurity processes across the organization.

• Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and evidence to comply with standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 and other applicable regulations.

• Identify process gaps, potential risks, and areas for enhancement, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in cybersecurity practices.

• Partner with the IT team to design and implement a cybersecurity key management system that supports both product development and manufacturing needs.

• Manage and oversee cybersecurity testing and verification activities for products.

• Monitor cybersecurity performance post-mass production and handle incident response and mitigation activities as needed.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of Cybersecurity Automotive standards and regulations such as ISO21434, R155, GB44495.

• Experience defining, maintaining and improving engineering processes, work products, and lifecycle documentation.

• Familiarity with Tier 1 supplier cybersecurity management, including requirements definition and compliance assessment.

• Practical experience with performing & coordinating the TARA analysis for automotive items/components.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of process definition and governance.

• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across diverse cultural backgrounds and multiple time zones.

• ISO 21434 Certification (or other equivalent certifications) is highly appreciated.

• Experience/familiarity with the incident response process is a plus.

• Proficiency in python scripting.
