Your new role
You will play a key role in securing government systems by applying foundational security principles to real-world engineering challenges. You will work closely with security and product teams to enhance security posture, implement controls, and support cybersecurity operations across modern cloud and platform environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity Operations
- Perform routine reporting and dashboarding, with a focus on automation
- Review VAPT findings and support remediation planning
- Validate vulnerabilities identified from security assessments
- Contribute to incident response playbooks and compliance documentation
- Implement and support operational security controls
- Conduct IAM role reviews to enforce least privilege access
Security Architecture & Engineering
- Apply security standards across:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Kubernetes platforms
- Cloud environments
Cyber Defence & Incident Response
- Support incident response activities and escalate complex issues
- Perform alert triage and investigations using security platforms
- Help refine detection rules, playbooks, and runbooks
- Participate in threat hunting activities
Product Engineering & Innovation
- Deliver POCs and security features across systems and platforms
- Use code and cloud security tools to identify and remediate risks
- Recommend improvements to enhance security, performance, and efficiency
Emerging Technology & Collaboration
- Test new cybersecurity tools and summarise findings
- Contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and share knowledge proactively
What you need
Candidates must clear CAT2 Clearance
✅ Foundational knowledge in:
- Security architecture and secure system design
- Threat modelling and vulnerability management
✅ Hands-on or working knowledgeof:
- CI/CD security, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
- SIEM, EDR, and cloud-native security tools
- Incident response, detection logic, and threat hunting
✅ Additional skills:
- Scripting/automation (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Identity & access management (IAM), secrets management, Zero Trust principles
- Familiarity with developer tools (e.g., AI coding assistants, DevSecOps tools)
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or IT
- Relevant hands-on experience or strong demonstrated potential
Preferred Certifications
⭐ OSCP, CISSP, or othercybersecurity certifications
