Job Description

Our client is a global financial institution with a strong regional and global footprint. As part of its continued investment in cyber defence, the firm is seeking an experienced cyber threat intelligence leader to drive its enterprise-wide Threat Intelligence Centre. This is a senior role that will shape how the organisation anticipates, understands, and responds to evolving cyber risks in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Reporting into the cyber security leadership team, you will oversee the end-to-end operations of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Centre, ensuring the delivery of timely, relevant, and actionable intelligence to stakeholders across the bank. You will define and refine the cyber intelligence strategy, influence the broader cybersecurity roadmap and architecture, and maintain a robust understanding of strategic, tactical, and operational threats facing the organisation. A key part of the role involves directing the collection and analysis of intelligence using internal data sources and OSINT, maintaining a knowledge base of threat actors and TTPs, and producing executive-level briefings and reports on the threat landscape. You will also work closely with incident response and threat hunting teams to provide contextual intelligence during investigations, collaborate with global counterparts to standardise practices, and provide people leadership, coaching, and performance management for team members.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of hands-on cyber threat intelligence experience, including leading or overseeing CTI functions in large, complex environments, ideally within financial services. They should possess a strong technical background with familiarity in CTI frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, the Cyber Kill Chain, and the Diamond Model, as well as key security technologies including TIPS, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and network monitoring tools. A solid understanding of the broader cyber threat landscape is essential, along with exposure to threat hunting, digital forensics, and incident response processes. The candidate should hold relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g. SANS, GCTI, CISSP) and a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. Excellent analytical and communication skills are also required, with the ability to deliver clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders and operate effectively in high-pressure situations.
