Cyber Security Firewall Engineer (FortiGate / Palo Alto)
Location: On-site, Singapore
Start: Preferably 1 March 2026

Kerry Consulting is partnering a reputable organisation in Singapore to hire a hands-on Cyber Security Firewall Engineer on a 6-month contract. This is an operational, delivery-focused role supporting enterprise security platforms, with primary ownership across Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto Networks firewalls. Exposure to Tripwire and Imperva is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Firewall Operations (Fortinet & Palo Alto)
- Manage firewall policies, rule changes, rule optimisation, and change requests
- Configure and support NAT, VPN, routing, HA setups, and logging integrations
- Monitor traffic, identify anomalies, and support remediation of security events
- Support firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and rollback planning
- Assist with audit support and evidence collection for compliance requirements
Tripwire (Nice to Have)
- Administer baselines, agents, alerts, and remediation workflows
- Investigate integrity violations and tune rules to reduce false positives
Imperva (Nice to Have)
- Configure security policies, signatures, profiles, and exceptions
- Monitor application-layer threats and tune policies for usability vs protection
- Support DAM reporting and monitoring policies where applicable
- Security Monitoring & Incident Response
- Triage alerts, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate remediation actions
- Maintain high-quality documentation, tickets, and change records
Requirements
- Fortinet FortiGate (policies, VPN, routing, HA, SD-WAN, logging)
- Palo Alto NGFW (policies, NAT, App-ID, User-ID, Panorama)
- Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, NAT, SSL/TLS, DNS
- Experience in incident response, change management, and documentation
- Able to work independently with strong attention to detail and risk awareness
Nice to Have Certifications
- Fortinet NSE 4-7, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, Imperva certification
