Job Description
What you can expect
Customer Service & Operational Coordination
- Act as main contact point for customers, ensuring smooth communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and overseas offices
- Assist customers during booking stage and provide timely shipment updates based on requirements
- Handle cross-trade shipments, ensuring clear coordination between Origin, Destination, and customers
- Verify documentation (e.g. Bills of Lading) to prevent errors or misunderstandings before cargo release
- Proactively address customer queries and resolve escalations promptly
- Ensure compliance with operational KPIs, including on-time cargo release, customs submissions, and job closure
- Monitor and update shipment milestones/status accurately in the system
- Prepare finance-related documents (AR/AP) and ensure quotation validity before shipment handling
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation collection, completion, and filing prior to vessel arrival
- Prevent shipment delays due to incomplete or incorrect documentation
- Coordinate with relevant departments (e.g. trucking, customs brokerage) for smooth operations
- Monitor payments and review invoices for accuracy in collaboration with Accounting
