Role Description
We are looking for a Customer Service Officer to support our transportation team. The Customer Service Officer will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the land freight transportation process, ensuring smooth operations, resolving inquiries, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
- Attend to customer's enquiries and liaise with customers to ensure that all the job requirements of the orders given are captured
- Perform trucking job creation
- Communicate customers requirements to Operations for their execution
- Monitor jobs and provide timely updates for shipment, including updating container details in the system
- Advise customers on delivery and trucking schedules
- Responsible for all documentation and administration duties
- Monitor the progress of job orders and shipments adhering to deadlines
- Maintain business relationships with customers
- Communicate and coordinate with the appointed third-parties in relation to job order
- Responsible for ensuring proper documentation and filling of invoice and job sheets
- Maintain networking with other departments including dispatch, billing, credit, and field management to respond to customer inquiries
- Assist in permit declaration for job orders when required
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or client-facing roles, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry
- Strong knowledge of land freight operations, transportation logistics, and customs clearance procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners
- Experience with TradeNet is an advantage
