Job Description

YOUR ROLE

The incumbent will be part of a larger team within the IFF department in providing seamless and customers focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO

Main areas of focus and accountability of the role detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:

  • Responsible for leading and planning freight forwarding operations ocean freight for a team of 10 Customer Service Representatives
  • Responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective processes with Solutions Team across multiple business units
  • Direct interaction with customers on freight matters and is responsible to propose value added solution to retain customer loyalty. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, innovate, plan, and direct the department.
  • Develop overall local operational strategy and direction for the freight forwarding teams
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new freight business, work closely with various departments - the Solutions Team; Operations Control Team; HR, Key Account Manager, Implementation Team; Logistics, Procurement Team to enhance on the interest of new and existing clients in the local market, and drive the business for maximum utilization of existing facilities
  • Lead and motivate the team, and drive quality and performance
  • Work with local Logistics Team and oversea entities to review end-to-end workflow processes to enhance customer shipping experience
  • Meet customer expectation on freight KPIs.
  • Monitors and work closely with team to achieve monthly NR targets, DQE KPI and AED failure
  • Supervise CSE & CSO, act as their first escalation point
  • Ensure compliance with customer's Standard Operating Procedures
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned by Line Manager
  • Team Management :
  • Ensure and monitor team compliance to the Ceva's Code of conduct and Company's regulation
  • Ensure team understanding and implementation on Ceva s Value in daily work behaviors
  • Plan and monitor team performance including give coaching and counselling needed to deliver expected
  • Outcomes
  • Plan and monitor team development together with HR Division
  • Ensure updated Job Description availability for the team by coordinating with HR Division
  • Ensure all changes in Department / Section communicated properly to the team
  • Provide support and expertise to MO Operations when needed (e.g. specific quotation requirement)
  • QHSE
  • Participate in the set-up and follow-up of internal standard procedures to enhance productivity and transparency
  • Maintain acceptable Health, Safety and Environmental risk levels in his/her area of responsibility
  • Ensure the compliance with applicable legal requirements

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • Degree level qualification, preferably in appropriate freight or logistics subject
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience , with knowledge of DG IMDG shipment handling is preferable
  • Experience in managing & motivating people and teams to deliver high levels of operational and commercial performance in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English and soft skills
