The role provide professional technical back-office support for SMT and soldering machine products to field service engineers and customers across Southeast Asia. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, interpret technical drawings and pneumatic/electrical diagrams, deliver process guidance, and maintain clear customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support for SMT and soldering machines: diagnose faults, guide repairs, and support field engineers during troubleshooting and commissioning.
- Analyze technical drawings, pneumatic and electrical schematics to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
- Support machine software issues, parameter tuning, recipe setup and process optimization for soldering and SMT processes.
- Maintain and update service cases in CRM (MS Dynamics); track tickets, SLAs and escalation paths.
- Prepare technical reports, service bulletins, troubleshooting guides, and spare-parts lists.
- Liaise with R&D, spare-parts, manufacturing and QA to resolve complex technical issues and product improvements.
- Train and coach field service engineers and customers remotely on operation, maintenance and best practices.
- Use SAP/E-Office for service order processing, spare parts ordering and documentation.
- Ensure professional, timely communication with customers; manage expectations and follow-up until resolution.
- Support warranty claims, root-cause analyses (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree (or above) in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, pneumatic and electrical diagrams.
- Experience with SMT, soldering machines, or related electronic assembly equipment preferred.
- Proficient in SAP, MS Office, machine-specific software, E-Office and CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain complex technical issues clearly to customers and field teams across the region.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits, trainings, or escalated on-site support when required.
